La Favela, which is located in Seminyak and is regarded as one of Bali’s most opulent hotspots, opened its doors in the middle of 2013 and was once more the idea of the incredibly talented and creative husband and wife duo Gonzalo and Sandra Assiego.
Over the course of two years, La Favela was conceived and constructed from its humble beginnings as a store and residence. A labour of love went into it. Everyone thought they were crazy when they spent years making structural changes to a nice property; however, Gonzalo was driven by a passion. He constructed La Favela as if it were his own house. Nobody does that much work in order to gain financial gain.
We grew fixated and passionate about this tiny location and its arduous process.
La Favela Bali drew its own concept and vintage design, intimate snug lavishly decorated corners, and Graffiti and stencil art adorned walls from around the globe! Bali is utterly insane and entirely magical! La Favela was created to enthral, drawing inspiration from the rainforests of Bali and Indonesia, the favelas of Rio, and the underground pubs and clubs of London and New York in the early 1990s.
